I was really glad to hear your talk at the Photo Educators conference this past weekend. I have admired your work since first seeing it at PCNW a few years ago (African school children). it was also nice to speak with you at the Benham Gallery.
Anyway, thank you for your inspiration and I wish you well. I will be checking in on your site periodically.

I just came across your site/org via a mention on Mashable. Absolutely love the SalaamGarage concept. Out of curiosity, how would an organization be selected to partner with a SalaamGarage trip? We install water purification systems in urban poor communities in the Dominican Republic, Mexico & Guatemala. We currently have 19 active community projects in Guatemala, for example, and would love to somehow partner with the upcoming trip!

I saw your inspirational talk at Web 2.0 Expo. I’m looking for a more informal network eg. where I could tie up with an NGO in Brazil for a week when I am there later this year.

Would you know of any such organizations? Any help appreciated.

hi there amanda,
I am a friend of maggies ( we met in travel writing course) and am excited for her – and you of course – to be involved in such an amazing sounding project. I wanted to introduce myself and also ask you if you have any contacts or interest in Mali as I am about to go there for 2 weeks and would love it if I could be a help to you at some point in the future. I am English, though my parents from South Africa, and have travelled alot all my life, shooting most of it! I have been caught up doing the fashion/lifestyle thing for years but now have a new site and a new direction that I would like to head in.
anyway just wanted to put it out there. Hope to hear from you soon, in the meantime have a wonderful holidays. Take care Jenny
